I am often asked where I love to travel. My answer isn’t based on the fanciest hotels or the most popular attractions. The places that stay with me are the ones that leave my heart a little fuller and my spirit a little lighter.
Travel reminds me that God created a beautiful world filled with different cultures, landscapes, and people. Every destination has taught me something about life, gratitude, and peace.
Germany is where I am today. Beyond its beautiful cities and rich history, it has given me one of life’s greatest gifts—time with my family. Nothing compares to watching my grandson grow, sharing everyday moments, and making memories that no photograph could ever fully capture.
Italy reminds me to savor life. Whether it’s sharing a meal, admiring centuries-old architecture, or simply sitting in a quiet piazza, Italy teaches me that life isn’t measured by how busy we are, but by how deeply we experience each moment.London inspires my curiosity. Every street has a story, every building carries history, and every visit reminds me that learning never has to stop. I enjoy walking through history while imagining the lives of those who came before us.
The Baltic Sea Islands speak to my soul. The peaceful waters and gentle breeze remind me that sometimes healing begins when we simply become still. Nature has a wonderful way of quieting the noise within us.
Cartagena fills my heart with joy. Its colorful streets, rich culture, and welcoming spirit remind me that happiness often lives in community, music, laughter, and celebrating life together.
Los Angeles represents hope and possibility. It reminds me that dreams don’t have an expiration date. Every season of life offers another opportunity to grow, create, and begin again.
Tennessee feels comforting. The mountains, music, and southern hospitality remind me that home isn’t always a place—sometimes it’s a feeling of being welcomed just as you are.
Maryland gives me balance. The beauty of the water and the slower pace encourage me to breathe deeply, appreciate the present, and find peace in the ordinary moments.
South Carolina has a quiet elegance that I love. Its coastal beauty, warm sunshine, and gracious people remind me that peace is often found in simplicity.
And finally, home in the United States reminds me that no matter how far I travel, gratitude always brings me back. Every journey helps me appreciate where I came from and gives me a greater appreciation for the blessings waiting for me at home.
If there’s one thing travel has taught me, it’s this: the greatest souvenirs are not the things we buy but the people we meet, the lessons we learn, the peace we discover, and the memories we carry forever.
So wherever life takes you, travel with an open heart. Listen more than you speak. Learn from every culture. Be kind to every person you meet. And whenever possible… live in peace and give peace.
“The world becomes a little more beautiful every time we choose to live in peace and give peace.”
