Are there any activities or hobbies you’ve outgrown or lost interest in over time?
You know, I am struggling with this question….why you might ask…or maybe not… but I’m going to tell you anyway…lol.
I think I do things, activities or hobbies if you will that I am passionate about. I can’t tell you of those things I might have forgotten as I have generally stuck with the things I like best… so in short no or at least I don’t think I have…

Have a great day, afternoon, or evening…I guess I am going to sleep now…

True, sometimes we tend to forget these things … I remember that I used to collect stamps and cards but no longer do it … it used to be one of my hobbies.

Me too it’s 407 it was beautiful today 4 hours from you and Chicago. It was beautiful it was 70 in my trailer and it got to 62 outside warmest day in my life on the 8th of February warmest day wow . I used to love a million things they weren’t really hobbies I mean I like to play cops and robbers and cowboys and Indians and I loved Rock hunting I always love rock honey and I will always love rock honey. it’s not like a Elf on the shelf it would never put up Rock hunting. when I was working at living at Mount Rushmore. I chance to go off the trail and found beautiful rocks and poison ivy. I will always go off the trail. I’m not a conformist I don’t like to walk here or walk there because some guys told me to.

Have you ever been to Lake Superior? You can walk along the shore or in the summer wade in the ice cold water , it’s not fun and the wind will knock you over it knocked me over and I’m 6 ft well 5’11 now shrinking. you can find concretions there I had your address I’d send you a couple we used to walk there when we went to the family cabin we drive an hour one day and spend the day on Lake Superior shore. a million years ago probably more than that volcano sat on the shore there and erupted. you can find from the size of a pea to the size of a cannonball concretions. concretions form like rock candy you probably too young to know what rock candy is but maybe not. be a little Pebble of mineral and a cold water would cooled a lava and it formed balls and some of them look like snowman the balls upon balls and when you if you have to break them open you can find that little bit of mineral that’s in the middle. I have several you need to find pieces of glass some old ships that went down that are smooth fine and no sharp edges at all from the rolling around in the water. good night my youngest sister.

I have been to Lake Superior as a child, Girl Scouts, family vacation we got ran off back in the 60ty camping. That was very scary yet interesting as my parents had to explain racism, my first open experience as a kid. Then went back with my children in the late 80tys, it is beautiful there. And I had to make rock candy for a school science experiment😂.

There is a girl in my in my company in 78 I thought she rocked the world when she was born. She was my first crush her name was Jan gooseberry she is from South Carolina. Jan dealt with racism she stood up for me one day I was so honored that she was my friend she was the neatest girl I knew at 18.. another girl in our Company d called me a bigot I had no idea what it was from Iowa from Waukon Iowa the armpit of the world. Jan toe to toe with her a red hair as bright red as her freckles. She was so fine. Jen shout it at her with her hand and her face I will always remember those words she’s screamed at that woman ‘Val”s no bigot!’
how is the weekend Jan’s grandma send a sweet potato pie those of us friends with Jen we all had a taste a sweet potato pie. my granddad when he came back from World War I he married the girl of his dreams. Secret hidden in time. the son of a minister married in Jewish girl. she is well Wisconsin and Small Town Iowa marrying someone in a different religion that has bias attached to it that gets ridiculed. I’m German Welch Norwegian and Yiddish. I wish I was as strong as Jan. I knew the secret from 18 years old to black women are the best women to have in your corner. Cuz in my family no one talked about our jewishness(Val word). cuz if you talk about how you stand out from others then you allow people to see who you are I guess. I’m proud of my grandma I didn’t ever meet her she died when I was 2 years old but I know she’s with me. I’ve only shared about Jan once. she is a treasured memory.
