Have you ever performed on stage or given a speech?

The first time, I was 5 years old. I was in a school program preparing to sing “Penny’s from Heaven”, I was scared when I actually had to do it.

The night before my mom did my hair in Shirley temple curls….(yep like on the good ship lollipop , that Shirley temple although she later became Shirley Temple Black….). This is way too much dated information…oh I forgot you just about know how aged I am…like a fine cheddar cheese…lol.

So, I gather by the way this is going you figured out by now it’s going to be a long drawn out story….I don’t know yet….get a cup of coffee/tea/ chia and toast or a donut…sit comfortably while I tell you the second time.

Ok, the second time was as an adult in college as a drama student. We were each told we would have to perform a piece out of some book, it’s been a long time but I can tell you the name of the poem. I can see myself as if it was yesterday.

The night before I had practice it for a couple of hours, I had been practicing from the day I received the assignment.

Well the day of the presentation I got up and froze…. I looked at my peers and my teacher and I froze, like a deer in headlights….after class my instructor allowed me to perform for a select few it was fantabulous and I got an A in that class.

Oh, I didn’t forget to tell you about the Shirley Temple performance….I was on stage looked out at the audience and sung like a canary, ran off crying because they clapped so loud it frightened me.

I know it said a time which means one time or does it? As always it’s never one thing for me…. I guess my mind is like a jays potato chip I can’t just tell you one thing….lol

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it…..

Winter is upon us at least here in the Midwest….bundle up if you’re going out…
