Ambrosia anyone….

It has graced our tables before my birth ….( if you been following me you would know that’s longer than a bear hibernates…..lol… ok you got me…..)

That big bowl filled with a sweet, gooey white mass that’s studded with little orange slices, yellow pineapple, and bright red maraschino cherries…when the holidays came around my mom her and sisters would be in the kitchen cracking, peeling laughing and literally having a dang good time creating this.

Now that they are here in spirit the torch was passed to my mothers daughters….heck to tell the truth me….I am the one that makes it and you better believe we are cracking peeling a mixing two days before the holiday…..because you need fresh ingredients….in my grandma voice “don’t get any canned coconuts otherwise don’t come back”, she meant it for everything she cooked was from scratch.

So, I am now crafter of ambrosia and I still prepare it the way my grandmother did from scratch……

It is Thursday …..we made it through most of the week….we are still standing…onward to the second half…let us greet this day with a smile and the world will smile back at us….no really….look….I see that smile popping out on your face…it is contagious, see you got me smiling…..
