If you could go back and witness any historical event, which one would you pick?
If I could go back in time and witness any historical event, my answer might be a little off the beaten path.
I wouldn’t choose a famous battle, the signing of a historic document, or even the moment a great discovery changed the world. I would choose something much more personal—I would want to meet my great-grandparents and ancestors from both my paternal and maternal sides.
Imagine being able to stand beside my paternal grandmother, Daphne, who was born in 1800, and my maternal grandmother, born in 1806. To see them as young women, to hear their voices, watch how they lived, what they dreamed about, what they loved, and what they endured.
Think about it—1800 and 1806. They lived in a world so different from mine. No electricity, no automobiles, no telephones, no modern conveniences. Yet somehow, through generations of love, struggle, survival, and life choices, their lives eventually became the beginning of mine.
I think witnessing that history would warm my soul in a way no textbook ever could. I would want to see the faces behind my family tree and understand the people from whom I came.
Because sometimes the most important historical event isn’t the one that changed the world.
It’s the one that began me.

And a wonderful asset to the world Donna. I think I’d want go go back to Dallas and try to prevent the Kennedy assassination. Had he lived i think America would be a very different place now. No rule by the billionaires and a much more integrated people with no threat of a new civil war..Maybe Trump would never get to power.
