Off the beaten Path

Well you know the song did it rained children … if not it is a gospel spiritual that my Grandmother would sing to and later with us…anyway… let me tell you a little story about what occurred in the not so far distant land of off the normal route out of Chicago but close enough to be affected…..

The day started quite humid….

Normally, when it is this hot and humid with a slight over cast….yep I got a cartoon for that….lol

No I was not driving….lol

Why am I telling you all this….

Well we had a beautiful storm last night

It was dangerous as it was an unexpected tornado….

That really did a lot of destruction… in the city and the surrounding areas which has devastated many and my heart goes out to those families….

All joking aside… our lights returned at 4:00pm. My daughter who is 10 minutes away has no lights and it is 10:00pm. she says she will come if she needs to along with the rest of my children, family and or friends know if need be come….

So although my family and (I reached out to 90% of them) are for the most part they are fine.
