Are you a good judge of character?
Let’s look at the meaning of the word character:
Both definitions from the Britannica dictionary:
It is the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual.
the way someone thinks, feels, and behaves : someone’s personality — usually singular.
Dictionary.com says, character refers especially to moral qualities, ethical standards, principles, and the like.
Origin of the word according to www. k-state.edu:
The word “character” derives from the Greek verb charassein, meaning to mark with a cut or furrow. It came to be used for writing with a stylus in wet clay (as in cuniform script) or engraving on a stone surface.
Now let’s look at the entomology of the word: according to wikionary From Ancient Greek χαρακτηριστικός (kharaktēristikós), from χαρακτηρίζω (kharaktērízō, “to designate by a characteristic mark”), from χαρακτήρ (kharaktḗr, “a mark, character”).
Now, you might be wondering why I did all of this…me too! No, really I like to be sure I understand the word. Why you ask? Words have more meanings than we know and if you look at the etymology and or origin of a word you will see that it does not mean what your told it means as you can see from the information provided above.
So, if I just look at the question in the way it is presented I would say it depends on the situation not all things are as they seem….LOL
With that being said it is freezing cold here in the Midwest…4 days before the Holiday and I wish for all of you and your family, happiness, health and love in abundance…from my heart to yours❤️❤️🥰

I’m working on writing three books on to the states and my sister in Arizona is writing a book on Arizona. delights me no end that they don’t have the books like that in libraries not everything is the internet in order for us to see visualize pictures enjoy history of places we need to go there or read about it and see the pictures. my phone is on the verge of death again so. I have to go in and charge it I have no food I have no food for cats so you know that’s going to be fun they’re going to want my potatoes and they’re not getting my potatoes. today no lie I saw five kids can zooming by one had a hoodie on and shorts through the the parking area by the park by the library where there’s not a lick store I don’t know where in the midwest you are but it’s not it’s pretty dope here in Iowa!
