What is good about having a pet?
My husband and I are owned by our fur babies Andy (male mini pin) and Daisy (a chihuahua mix, don’t know with who).
As empty nesters these two little ones keep us joyfully busy with their daily demands. That’s why they own us and not the other way around, hence the title.
We are at their beckon call… and lord help us if they get sick it’s like having children, only they don’t ask questions, talking back is another blog, because believe it or not they will express there feelings. It is one of the best things I have done. They bring you joy when you least expect it. They protect you when you don’t know you need it.
This is Andy ( gray fur baby)Ace is his brother my sister has him we were going on a play date to visit Ace.
He was tearing up paper… better than a shredder…lol
This is Daisy. So in answer to the question, they are the next best thing to my children, they give me life.
It’s a beautiful day today get out get some fresh air, take a walk enjoy…

Oh Annie you would get me started on my babies, for me they are great companions, listeners especially when you need to practice a speech, they always are happy to see me and sad when I leave which makes me sad too it’s like leaving your child for the first day of school…see I can go on and on. I will be sharing a small piece on how dogs are good support for people with mental health challenges later this month.
